Phoenixville Pledge

Our 2017 program in Phoenixville was a success. Because we are a volunteer-based organization, our programs do not happen in every location every year. Stay tuned for our next program or reach out to Leila@peaceadvocacynetwork if you are interested in volunteering as a program organizer.

Highlights from 2015

For the first week, meetings included a presentation on vegan nutrition basics and meal planning, and pledges worked one-on-one with their mentors to figure out what they would eat for the first week.

During the second week, there was a panel discussing vegan living in a nonvegan world as wells as talks by Shanti Uretta and Vance Lehmkuhl.

Getting more hands on, the third week consisted of an in-depth cooking class at Cooking Spotlight covering everything from the basics of grains and beans to fancier items like vegan sushi and fresh spring rolls to dessert.

For practical purposes, week four was of a tour of Giant Markets, a well-stocked supermarket with loads of vegan items, and a presentation about traveling and dining out while vegan.

Lastly, the fifth week finished up with presentations about Environmental issues, more ethical issues, and information about vegan personal care items.
