ACTIVISTS CHALLENGE WHOLE FOODS MARKETS’ ETHICS PHILADELPHIA, PA, February 23, 2012 - Activists at Peace Advocacy Network will be reaching out to shoppers at Whole Foods Market (929 South Street, Philadelphia, PA) to educate them about humane, vegan food choices. The event is slated for Wednesday, February 29 from 5:30-7PM. Whole Foods’ shopper are paying top-dollar for “humane” animal products that keep animals in a system of use. Ed Coffin, wrongfully arrested for passing out humane myth information in front of this very Whole Foods Market, will head up this outreach effort. Mr. Coffin was recently awarded $15,000 by the City of Philadelphia for the wrongful arrest. Peace Advocacy Network's outreach will educate the public about the plight of the animals used for “humane” food while promoting veganism as the only humane choice.
